At a time when celebrities spend the most amount of time on social media updating fans about their projects and plans, singer songwriter Armaan Malik has decided to cut down on his social media activity. The 23year-old believes that spending long hours on the Internet had started affecting his health.

“Due to social media, I was often staying up late at night, checking stuff online. This messed up my sleep cycle, too. And then, all sorts of problems started cropping up like cold, acidity, exhaustion,” he says.

Earlier this week, Armaan took to Twitter to share the same with his fans. “There are health reasons behind me not coming so often on social media. Many fans keep telling me be the old Armaan who used to be super active...I love you all beyond what you can imagine but yes taking care of me is important. Hope you all understand where I come from,” he wrote.

Armaan is currently in Los Angeles (US), recording some new music and meeting artists for collaborations. He adds that working till late in the night also affected his health.

“Work hours go on till really late and we feel hungry at odd hours and we end up eating anything we can get our hands on. That can toss away the diet for good,” he says adding, that it’s imperative for artists to focus on their health.

“I wish we had more of that [time] but sometimes our work demands us to be working 24x7. No doubt I love every single second of my day but it gets super exhausting and takes a lot out of me. Lately, I’ve realised that it’s very essential to devote a certain time to the well-being of our mind and body,” he signs off.
