He became a household name with his Bollywood debut Neerja in 2016 and since then actor Jim Sarbh has done four films. A Death in the Gunj and Raabta both released in 2017 while Padmaavat and Sanju released this year. Jim is also experimenting with different mediums — be it short films or web series.

“I just like to act,” says Jim when asked if success in Bollywood is important to him. “If I get success it is great. Who doesn’t like success,” he adds.

This year has been particularly good for the actor as both his films were hits. Moreover, he has starred in two international films, which are currently touring the festival circuits.

These include the Michael Winter bottom directed The Wedding Guest which also stars Dev Patel, and Beneath a Sea of Lights, directed by Neel Kumar, which also stars the Oscarnominated actor Barkhad Abdi. “It has been an interesting year for me, and a very enjoyable one on the work front. Besides my work projects, I also got to enjoy life. Going into the next year, I am awaiting the releases of my two international films,” says Jim.

The actor also has a cameo in Ritesh Batra’s upcoming film, Photograph, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra. “Another web series will most probably be out in March, so I am looking forward to that. I am also doing a short film by Bejoy Nambiar. There are talks for other projects as well,” concludes Jim.

It has been an interesting year for me... Going into next year, I am awaiting releases of my two international films. JIM SARBH ACTOR
