Bidding adieu to santoor maestro

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma’s last rites took place on Wednesday in Mumbai. His remains were kept till 1pm for public darshan. Actor-couple Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan were spotted paying their last respects to the santoor maestro, who had composed the music for the former’s film Silsila (1981). Lyricist Javed Akhtar and flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, one half of the Shiv-Hari music composer duo, were also present.
