Pakarbera village is a Maoistaffected area where the rebels blew up railway track near Matari railway station last year. Braving the scorching heat, around 2500 people were present at the rally.

“Help Jagarnnath win the 2014 election,” Soren urged. Within one week, this was Soren’s fourth rally in the Maoist-hit villages. Former minister Mathura Prasad Mahto (MLA) and JMM candidate from Giridih constituency Jagannath Mahto (MLA) also addressed the rally.
