GOPAL ALLEGED THE JJMP AND SECURITY PERSONNEL WERE JOINTLY CONDUCTING OPERATIONS AGAINST THE CPI (MAOIST)

LATEHAR: An abducted cadre of the Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), a Maoist’ faction allegedly enjoying police patronage, exposed his outfit’s strong alliance with security forces at a kangaroo court held by rival outfit Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) in Latehar on Wednesday.

A TPC squad led by Alokji and Chetanji had abducted JJMP ultra Gopal Singh from his home at Tupu village in Latehar on Wednesday morning. During the public trial, Gopal alleged his group and security personnel were jointly conducting operations against the CPI (Maoist) in different parts of Jharkhand. He also accused the forces of having assigned JJMP cadres the task of gunning down dreaded CPI (Maoist) leader Arvindji aka Dev Kumar Singh, who carried a cash reward of `1 crore on his head.

Gopal also alleged JJMP cadre were involved in the gunning down of CPI (Maoist) leaders Anuragji aka RK along with eleven others near Bakoria in June 2015 and a shoot-out leading to the death of CPI (Maoist) leader Sylvesterji

The police have denied the claims.

“TPC cadres had earlier caught a man having affiliations with the JJMP but the reports of their holding a public trial are not true,” Latehar superintendent of police Anoop Birtharay said. “We will look into the veracity of Gopal’s claims.”
