There is no harm in being a child every now and then

A tiny flower blooms in the courtyard and you are busy doing all sorts of things that really ‘matter’.

The sun shines over the horizon, travels all the way in full majesty and graciously sets in the evening with splendid colours splashed on the firmament, but you are asleep.

We don’t see what wonders the glittering stars and the moonlight can bring.

We are often oblivious to these natural joys and have started taking them for granted. As a result, we have few occasions that fill our hearts with awe and wonder.

With eyes glued to the bright screen of your computer and your fingers dancing on the keys of your smartphone, simple offerings such as the fragrance of wet earth or the sound of falling raindrops.

The simplicity and innocence of your childhood have long disappeared since you ‘grew up’ to be more prudent and more responsible in the eyes of those you feel are the good and the great.

It seems that no one is interested in slowing down once in a while, not even for a short while to look at the wonderful abundance of nature or to observe the fantastic exuberance of our inner dominion.

A man’s life is rushing speedily along the fast lane and his life is packed in the plastic coffin of technological gadgets and gizmos.

It is not that you must totally withdraw from your daily chores, but one must take some time off one’s daily duties to take a break and be a child again.

Nothing more in life can rejuvenate you with a fresh flow of energy as much as a candid visit to your childhood does. So, stop for a while, leave your worries aside and walk down that path again.
