YOUNG GUNS
Here’s a look at some of the youngsters who are tipped to set EPL on fire this season:
MARCUS RASHFORD
Club: Manchester United
He faces two challenges. One is to maintain his progress, having lost that element of surprise, and another is to convince new manager Jose Mourinho that youth, not experience, can be more effective.
RAMADAN SOBHI
Club: Stoke City At £5 million, Sobhi could prove to be one of the signings of the season. The 19-year-old has been compared to one of Egypt’s greatest players, Mohamed Aboutrika. Another Egyptian, Mido, has no concerns about him stepping up a few levels.
LEWIS COOK
Club: Bournemouth For a 19-year-old, Cook arrives with a lot of playing experience having shone for fallen giants Leeds United over the past two seasons. The midfielder was named Football League Young Player of the Year last season.
PIERRE-EMILE HOJBJERG Club:
Southampton In the 21-year-old Danish international they could have acquired a real gem from Bayern. He faces a big task in replacing Spurs-bound Victor Wanyama.
BEN CHILWELL
Club: Leicester City Chilwell’s decision to sign a fiveyear deal could be equally as significant as some of the seniors in the squad. The 19-year-old is a very highly regarded left-back and some top clubs were interested in him.
