Tibetan man sets himself on fire in protest, dies
BEIJING: A Tibetan man set himself on fire and died in a protest calling for the return of the region’s exiled Buddhist leader, the Dalai Lama. Washington-based International Campaign for Tibet said Dorbe, 23, self-immolated on Sunday in Ngaba county, a traditionally Tibetan region of Sichuan province. Dorbe is the 154st Tibetan to self-immolate since the protests began in 2009. China insists Tibet is part of its territory, but many Tibetans say they are independent.
