Man arrested for beating up son to death in Bokaro

RANCHI: A 50-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly beating up and strangulating his four-year-old son to death at Bermo block in Bokaro district, almost 105 km northeast of Ranchi.

Officer-in-charge of Bermo police station KK Sahu said the child 40-year-old mother, Krishna Devi, registered a complaint against her husband, Baleshwar Turi, on Monday. She alleged that Turi had thrashed and strangulated their son Krishna Kumar on Sunday night. Following this, the child fell ill and died.Turi often quarrelled with Devi, and sought money from her, the officer said quoting the complaint.
