UP CM unveils ₹249-crore schemes
SHAHJAHANPUR: : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath laid foundation of development schemes worth ₹ 249 crore, including an inter college named after Thakur Raushan Singh at Nawada Darovast, here on Sunday.
Addressing a public rally, Yogi said that the BJP government in the state was committed to the welfare of youths, farmers, poor and the martyrs, besides all round development of the region.
“The state government will soon release fund for the proposed inter college at Nawada Darovast. We have already waived bank loan of small and marginal farmers in Uttar Pradesh,” the chief minister said.
Recalling the contributions of martyrs of Shahjahanpur region, Yogi said, “Our government has always been honouring martyrs like Pandit Ram Prasad ‘Bismil’, Ashfaqulla Khan, Thakur Raushan Singh, Rajendra Prasad Lahiri and Chandra Shekhar Azad. It will be our efforts to open more universities and colleges named after these great personalities as a mark of respect,” he said.
Yogi also called on youths of the region to start their preparations for the upcoming recruitment of 69,000 teachers and 50,000 policemen in the state.
Speaking on negative news about cows, the chief minister said that the Samajwadi Party was defaming the BJP government of the state by leaving their cattle in farms and later blaming cows that they were damaging crops. “I have also sanctioned Rs 1.3 crore to every district for construction of ‘Gaushalas’ in each panchayat. The district magistrates have been asked to construct cow shelters with the district panchayat fund. Despite this, if the condition of cows does not improve and their protection is not ensured, the district magistrates will be responsible,” he warned.
