‘Many Hindus from Pakistan will also attend Kumbh’
PRAYAGRAJ : Pilgrims from Pakistan will also be seen camping at Kumbh in Prayagraj this time. Already permission to 60 Hindu pilgrims from the neighbouring country to visit the mega religious event and stay at Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhada has been received from the government.
Also, vice-president of the akhada Mahant Daulat Giri is in Pakistan these days facilitating the visit and contacting more pilgrims wishing to visit Kumbh.
As per the seers of the akhada, temple of Hinglaj Mata, also known as Hinglaj Devi, in Hinglaj town in Lasbela district of Baluchistan, Pakistan is a revered site of pilgrimage for Hindus.
It is one of the Shakti Peeths of the Hindu goddess Sati and over the last few decades the place has gained increasing popularity and become a unifying point of reference for Pakistan’s many Hindu communities.
Mahant Daulat Giri is in this very region of Pakistan for the past 11 days and propagating the importance of Kumbh taking place in Prayagraj. Juna Akhada office bearers claim that many more Hindus of the region have already applied for visas to visit Prayagraj.
“We will have pilgrims from Pakistan coming to Prayagraj Kumbh and at least five dozen of them have already got the requisite permissions and paperwork done.
The final list and other details of the pilgrims will, however, be known only by January 10., he added
