PATNA: A day after abducting three persons, suspecting them to be police informers, from Bangla Bagicha village under Deo police limits in Aurangabad districts, the Maoists killed one of them on Friday.

The blood-soaked body of Sunil Paswan, 40, was found by some people on the outskirts of the village on Friday morning.

Along with Sunil, two others were abducted by the Maoists from the village on Thursday evening, when all the three were busy in their agriculture field here.

The Maoists freed two with a warning not to share any information with the police in future. Both the hostages, who were thrashed mercilessly by the rebels, reached the village late on Thursday night.

“It was the handiwork of people liberation guerilla army (PLGA) led by zonal commander Vivek Yadav, who operates in the Magadh region,” said an official.

ASP (Operation) Rajesh Kumar Singh said Sunil was shot dead by the frustrated Maoists on false charges. A handwritten note was also recovered from the spot in which PLGA claimed the incident.

Meanwhile, panic has gripped the village after the incident with people remaining indoors fearing further action by the rebels. Police have launched a manhunt in the region to nab the Maoists.

Villagers revealed that the security forces killed three Maoists in an encounter in July at Satnadia Nala and recovered huge weapons. Following the encounter, Maoists leader suspected that Sunil is the man who provided support to the security forces about the presence of three identified as Budha Vyas, Golu and Raju.
