They have been instructed to keep a close tab on the activities of their election agents in case of absence of candidates,” said Ravishankar Shukla, East Singhbhum deputy commissioner (DC) cum-election officer.

The magistrate has been asked to submit his report to

The meeting of the Monitoring Committee and Media Certification (MCMC) chaired by the DC also warned and directed the Congress candidate from Jamshedpur-West seat Banna Gupta to submit a report on destroying pamphlets distributed by him without getting those pamphlets verified by the MCMC.

The static surveillance team (SST) of the area concerned has been asked to submit a report after investigating the timing of the publication and distribution of those pamphlets. The district MCMC has also been asked to report paid news being published in daily newspapers to the state level MCMC.
