Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday directed that a fast track court be set up for speedy trial in the case. The four accused, all lorry workers, aged between 20 and 24, were arrested on November 29 and are lodged in the Cherlapally Central Prison after a court remanded them to 14 days judicial custody.
The incident has triggered nation-wide outrage and protests are being held at several places demanding punishment to the culprits. Last week, the Mahabubnagar district court Bar Association and the Ranga Reddy Bar Association decided not to represent the accused.
