ADMN STARTS CONTACT TRACING

DHANBAD: The Giridih district administra­tion has initiated contract tracing exercise to identify people who came in contact with the latest Covid-19 casualty of the state.

The victim, a resident of Goro village under Jamua police station, had been buried before his positive test report came on Thursday.

Giridih DC Rahul Kumar Sinha said, “His report came around 7pm on Thursday, however, by then he was buried since he had died on Wednesday night.”

District public relations officer said the wife and son of the deceased have been kept in isolation.

“Swab sample collection of those who had attended the burial was also being done. Curfew has been clamped and restrictio­ns have been imposed in area. The area also is being sanitized,” the PRO said.
