JAMSHEDPUR: Jamshedpur district and sessions court Friday rejected bail petitions of the six accused in the case of alleged flesh trade in a hotel here.

The court had completed online hearing on their bail applications on Thursday.

“The court of district and sessions judge has denied bail to the six accused, including my client Rajiv Duggal,” Indrajeet Sinha, Rajiv Duggal’s lawyer, said.

“We will now file petition in Jharkhand high court for bail.”

Earlier, the court of the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Manoj Prasad had rejected the bail applications of eight accused, including these six accused, in the same case here on May 13.

The six accused in the case were Hotel Al Cor owner Rajiv Duggal, government contractor Rajesh Mangotia alias Laddu Mangotia, Sharad Poddar, Dipak Agrawal, Rahul Agrawal and Rajat Jaggi.

City-based senior lawyer Suhir Kumar Pappu said the court would hear the bail plea of Al Cor manager Dhananjay Singh on June 1.

The Kolkata-based girl arrested from the hotel has also filed her bail application.
