CM inaugurates 12-bed ICU at Latehar Hospital
LATEHAR: Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with health minister Banna Gupta on Tuesday virtually inaugurated a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) facility at Sadar Hospital in Latehar.
In addition, the chief minister also inaugurated a manifold oxygen plant, 10-bed Covid-19 care facility with piped oxygen supply at Sadar Hospital, along with similar facilities, at Chandwa, Mahuadand, Barwadih and Bariyatu Covid-19 care centres.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said, “It is a privilege for the residents of Latehar district to have state-of-the-art ICU facility at district level hospital. We are working on improving health infrastructure in every region of Jharkhand despite having meagre resources at our disposal. But we won’t stop.”
Soren directed the Latehar district administration to prepare a detailed report on the health survey being conducted in rural areas so that the health facilities could be strengthened in remote areas at the same time.

Chatra Member of Parliament (MP) Sunil Kumar Singh attended the programme virtually while deputy commissioner Abu Imran and civil surgeon (CS) Dr Santosh Srivastava were physically present at the function.
