CUNNING CURRAN

On the face of it, Sam Curran is in the England side for the all-round package that he offers. He tends to hit the ball a long way, adding to the batting depth that is such an integral part of the England way. But it was his astute bowling that stood out throughout the tournament. He took 13 wickets in six matches, including 3/12 in the final. His wicket of opener Mohammad Rizwan was particularly important in restricting Pakistan to a below-par total.
