I come from Hyderabad and when I moved to Mumbai, the biggest challenge for me was to find a foothold in the city. I participated in TV shows like Voice of India in 2007 and Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star season 2 in 2012, and that helped me a lot in sustaining in the city. Since there was no social media back then, TV shows were the only medium for young talent to get recognition. We had only a few musical shows and it was not easy to get selected. The competition was tough, so the reward and recognition from those shows also lasted for a long time.
