200 FALL ILL AFTER WEDDING FEAST IN MADHEPURA

About 200 guests fell ill after allegedly a wedding feast in Madhepura district of Bihar on Tuesday evening, health officials said.

The ill were taken to Madhepura district hospital, where they are said to be out of danger.

According to locals, the feast was held to celebrate the marriage of the daughter of one Shailendra Yadav of Pathraha village. “After the feast, some people complained of nausea and stomach ache and they were rushed to the district hospital,” Yadav said. “It is a case of food poisoning. All of them are out of danger,” said a doctor who treated the ill. Some of them have already been discharged from the hospital, he said.
