Don’t want any intrusion into my child’s life: Alia

-

Actor Alia Bhatt, who welcomed her first child earlier this month, has opened up about raising her daughter in the public eye.

In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Bhatt said, “I am a little concerned about it. I talk about it with my friends, family and husband (actor, Ranbir Kapoor) a lot. I don’t want there to be a sort of intrusion into my child’s life because at the end of the day, I have chosen this path [of acting]. But, my child may not want to choose this path when he or she grows up... so that’s something that I feel very protective about.”

On how she would react if her daughter pursued acting in the future — considering she is born into a film family — Bhatt said, “I don’t think that’s something that I can really prepare and plan for. I don’t want to have any fixed ideas of how I want that to be. Why should I have any expectations and then be met with any disappointment or elation?

Bhatt and Kapoor welcomed their daughter on November 6.
