Gokhale critical, family refutes death rumours
Actor Vikram Gokhale’s wife Vrishali put an end to the rumours of his death, with an official statement. “Vikram Gokhale is critical since the last 24 hours. Doctors are trying their best. He is not responding to the treatment as expected. He has multi organ failure,” said the statement, shared by a close friend of the family. The 82-year-old actor, who was last seen in the film Nikamma, has been undergoing treatment at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune.
On Wednesday evening, rumours of the actor’s death started surfacing on social media, leading celebrities, including actors Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh to share condolences.
Gokhale has appeared in several Marathi as well as Bollywood films, in his career spanning over five decades. Till the time of going to press, the actor’s condition was said to be critical.
