Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor introduce Raha
Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally revealed the name of their newborn daughter on Thursday evening: Raha. The parents posed with the newborn, with the main focus on a Barcelona jersey in the background bearing Raha’s name. Kapoor’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni tells us: “I was in France when Raha was born, and I finally got to meet her a week ago. And the name, given by her dadi (actor Neetu Kapoor), is so beautiful. It’s just perfect for her.”
“In its purest form, Raha means divine path; in Swahili, she is Joy; in Sanskrit, Raha is a clan; in Bangla, rest, comfort, relief; in Arabic, peace; it also means happiness, freedom, and bliss,” Bhatt wrote on Instagram.
A host of celebs reacted to the announcement, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas commenting, “God bless Raha (heart eyes emoji),” and Ranveer Singh dropping a red heart and evil eye amulet emojis. Kareena Kapoor Khan wrote, “Raha Kapoor, can I hold you.”
