3 men go on a shooting spree in Saharsa, none hurt

Three men, riding a motorcycle, fired discrimina­tely at a busy market and two other places in Saharsa district of Bihar late Friday night but no one was injured, police said.

firing continued on for over half an hour. We locked ourselves in our houses out of fear. The miscreants were three in number and riding a bike,” said a local resident, who did not want to be identified.

Krishna Kumar, station house officer (SHO) of Simri Bakhtiyarp­ur police station, said the police challenged them but the miscreants managed to escape. “They have been identified and will be arrested soon. No injuries have been reported. It seems the aim was just to intimidate people,” he said.

In a similar incident, four men had gone on a shooting spree in Begusarai district in September this year, leaving one person dead and several others injured.
