LOCAL LEADER SHOT IN BHOJPUR

Former chairman of Shahpur Nagar panchayat in Bhojpur district, Vasishth Prasad (40), was shot dead by unidentified assailants near his house on Sunday, police said, adding that old enmity seemed to be the reason prima facie. In September this year, Prasad was shot at and injured. SHO of Shahpur police station, Nityanand Sharma, said efforts are on to nab the accused.
