Nikeet on her death hoax; recalls horror of Insta account being hacked
Actor Nikeet Dhillon recently went live on Instagram to address her death hoax. It was spread by a hacker who posted a story on her account on the photo sharing platform. The actor, who has worked in many Punjabi films, spoke to us exclusively and shared how the episode emotionally affected her family.

makes a shocking revelation from two years ago when her Facebook account was hacked, saying, “I went to the cyber cell in Mohali, Punjab back then, but they were not even interested in listening to me.” She says the authorities told her to let it go as she did not have any cards attached to the account. Despite her submitting a screen-shot of the hacker’s call, nothing has been done till date.
The Jatt Brothers actor wanted to approach the cyber cell when her Instagram account got hacked, but says that since they did not help her in the past, she is unsure now.
Dhillon said, “A week before the death hoax on Instagram, all my pictures were deleted. When I tried to change my password, I was logged out. We recovered it somehow but later, the story about my death was posted.” The actor says that she got back the access to her account only after performing video verification and other security checks. Her family, meanwhile, has been traumatised.
