Jagdanand back in RJD office, Tejashwi by side
You all do not know Jagdanand ji... there was nothing as such that he was upset
TEJASHWI YADAV,
After almost two months, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) state unit president Jagdanand Singh returned to the party office Patna, accompanied by deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, on Tuesday afternoon.
Singh was said to be upset after his son Sudhakar Singh’s exit from the Nitish Kumar cabinet on October 3 following his repeated allegations of corruption in agriculture department and the government. Sudhakar Singh was made agriculture minister in August when CM Kumar’s JD-U snapped ties with BJP and joined the RJD-led alliance.
Jagdanand Singh had not been coming to RJD office since then.
Last week, he had met RJD chief Lalu Prasad in New Delhi and was asked to continue as state unit president, according to party insiders.
Meanwhile, Yadav said speculation that Jagdanand Singh was annoyed with the party was baseless. “You all do not know Jagdanand ji... there was nothing as such that he was upset,” he said. Singh did not interact with the media.
