I am mostly correct: Yami on predicting a movie’s fate
YI don’t think I felt nervous even for the films that didn’t do well, because I knew the result.

ami Gautam Dhar’s next film, Lost ,gota hearty response at its Asia premiere at the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa recently. Talking to us after the premiere, the actor says that she wasn’t surprised, as she gets a rough idea about the fate of a film while working on it. “I am quite excited about the response. You do get nervous, but not when you know how the film has shaped up. In fact, I don’t think I felt nervous even for the films that didn’t do well, because I knew the result. I have mostly been correct with my understanding and predictions so far,” the actor shares.
Then how does she manage to give her 100% to a project that comes across as shaky while shooting? “You still have to give your 100%, as you chose to be a part of the film. I don’t think you can ever cheat that, unless it’s a really bad experience in terms of behaviour or something that is beyond your dignity,” says the 34-year-old.
Talking of films that failed to do well, the Dasvi actor adds that she has often tried to “salvage” things. “You still try to reason out with the director and figure how things can be worked out. I am someone who doesn’t leave till the end. Two-three films of mine didn’t turn out the way I wanted them to, but I was prepared. In terms of my work, you can’t say I was bad,” Dhar ends.
