Rubina on pregnancy rumour: I laugh it off
Actor couple Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla were papped entering a building that houses a pregnancy clinic, and soon, rumours of them expecting their first child surfaced. But, she cleared the air about the “misconception about conception”, tweeting: “Next time we will have to check the building (if it has any clinic) before agreeing to go even for a work meeting (sic).”
Do such speculations bother her? “I take it with a pinch of salt and laugh it off. Because of this whole incident, I got a good picture with Abhinav, that’s all!” she quips.
The Shakti actor says she understands that as a public figure, her life is under constant scrutiny: “I am aware that people are going to talk about my life. It’s my choice how I want to react to it. I don’t take them (rumours) personally.
Moreover, everyone has the freedom to express, and that’s fine.”
As for those making assumptions about her personal life, Dilaik, who was last seen on a dance reality show, says there’s not much one can do about it. “If I think about what everybody thinks or says about me... it’s impossible. I don’t function like that,” she wraps up.
