Actor Vicky Kaushal (left) doesn’t believe in the number game. The actor rather prefers films with a good storyline. The actor says that he won’t mind doing even a two-minute role in a movie, if the story appeals to him. “Playing the lead role has never been my sole criteria. I feel drawn towards interesting stories. I don’t bother about the duration. Even if I play a small part, I ensure I portray it well. I believe story is the real hero, as the viewers understand the value of a good story. I won’t deny the importance of a star, but a well-written plot and a good director can create magic,” he says. Having worked in films such as Masaan (2015), and Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016), Vicky says whenever he hears the narration, he analyses if the film will find a connect with the audience or not. “I listen to a story from the audience’s point of view as they will watch and judge the final product. I like to play coming-of-age characters as there is a graph in them. The transition such characters go through, is also fascinating,” adds Vicky. The 28-year-old believes that the online platform is blooming with good content. “I would love to do web series. They’re doing well online. I enjoy watching them,” he says.
