Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has signed Farhad Samji (of the Farhad–sajid writerdirector duo) to direct his next production. In a span of seven years, Farhad has directed as many as 11 films that have entered the ` 100-crore club. Sajid-farhad were the writers for Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, Golmaal Again, Housefull 2, Housefull 3, Singham, Singham Returns, Dilwale, Bol Bachchan, Ready, Chennai Express, and Judwaa 2. The two collaborated with Nadiadwala on Housefull 2, Housefull 3, and the recently released Judwaa 2. Confirming the news, Sajid says, “I enjoy working with Farhad, and our previous films have been appreciated by the audience. I believe we have one thing in common: our passion to keep the audience entertained through our films. We hope to create great content this time as well.” Talking about signing his first solo film under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner, Farhad says, “Sajid sir is one producer any director would love to work with. His contribution has been creative and that can be easily chalked out from the past records of Nadiadwala Grandson.” Elated by the success of Judwaa 2 and Golmaal Again, the writer says, “I feel like I’m on top of the world, but I share the credit with extremely talented directors like David Dhawan sir and Rohit Shetty. This is just the beginning, because the road to success is under construction. Success comes before work only in a dictionary.” Speaking about the new film, Farhad says “A full-on entertainment masala blockbuster is what Sajid sir and I have delivered in the past whenever we have worked together, and we will continue this trend.” Are any more films in the offing? “I have two or three scripts in mind, and Sajid sir and I will zero in on those in about a month, and we will announce it soon,” Farhad says.
