It’s a fact that the pollution caused by plastic far outweighs the convenience it offers. As a remedial measure, the Maharashtra government has recently implemented a ban on singleuse plastics such as bags, cups, and plates, and to some extent, it has worked. Delhi has supposedly had a ban on disposable plastic bags for a while now, but grocery shoppers and small vendors use them with impunity, though large retail stores have switched to paper. Since celebrities are often a part of social and environmental issues, we ask people from the worlds of cinema and sport how they’ve eliminated plastic from their lives.
