‘It is a great feeling to introduce two actors in my film’
He is launching his son Utkarsh Sharma as well as Ishita Chauhan in his latest film, Genius, and director Anil Sharma feels happy that two new actors are beginning their careers with his film. “It feels nice that my film will mark the beginning of Utkarsh’s career. Also Ishita Chauhan is starting her film journey with this film. I have earlier launched only heroines. This is for the first time that I am launching a hero,” says the director, who has earlier helmed Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003) and Apne (2007). The trailer, which was launched on Tuesday, has impressed the audiences. While the trailer has received immense appreciation and accolades from fans and critics, it has been getting positive reviews from B-town celebrities as well, who are all praises for Utkarsh. The film’s music has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and its first song 'Tera fitoor', which was unveiled much before the trailer, has already become a rage. Genius also marks Anil Sharma’s return to the big screen after a gap of almost five years, and the director is looking forward to reconnecting with his audiences. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mithun Chakraborty and Ayesha Jhulka in a guest appearance. The film has been produced by KC Sharma, Kamal Mukut, Deepak Mukut and Anil Sharma. When asked how Utkarsh feels about his big Bollywood debut, Sharma says his son is very relaxed. “He has done a four year film degree course in the US. So, he has become very confident about his craft,” says the proud father.
