Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling Top Restaurant Awards 2018 recently unveiled India’s 50 best premium restaurants at the St Regis Mumbai, amidst the country’s top restaurateurs, chefs, hospitality veterans and food entrepreneurs. Their ranking of premium eating establishments was topped by Mumbai’s very own, The Bombay Canteen, followed by Indian Accent (New Delhi), The Table (Mumbai), Bomras (Goa) and Masque (Mumbai). Out of the 50 winning restaurants, Mumbai took the lead with 14 winning restaurants, followed closely by Goa with 10 and Delhi with nine. Bengaluru joined the club with six winning restaurants, Chennai with five, Kolkata with three and Hyderabad, Jaipur and Pune with one winning restaurant each. Additionally, a special jury ranked 10 restaurants from the top 50 list that celebrated the Raw & Fine philosophy by Himalayan Natural Mineral Water. The ‘Himalayan Top 10 Raw & Fine’ list represented and applauded restaurants who differentiate themselves with their unique, naturally sourced ingredients that play a central role in providing a superior ‘raw and fine’ experience, similar to that which Himalayan Natural Mineral water practices — drawing its uniqueness entirely from nature. Annamaya, Andaz Delhi led the pack, accompanied by nine other names from Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, Bangalore and Kolkata. Hosted by ace chefs Manu Chandra and Pooja Dhingra, the ceremony saw top names from the hospitality industry felicitated for their contribution to the sector. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP were the process advisors and official tabulators for the Top Restaurant Awards, ensuring that the process was fair and the list, authoritative and credible. Speaking on this association, VP and head of marketing, Nourishco Beverages, Kuttiah KS said, “It was great to see the overwhelming response to the second edition of the Condé Nast Traveller Himalayan Sparkling Top Restaurant Awards, reinforcing it as the most authoritative list of top fine dining restaurants in the country, perfectly complimenting Himalayan Natural Mineral Water which defines the fine water space in India.”
