Acom­pany that spe­cialises in op­er­a­tions re­lated to data an­a­lyt­ics, IT train­ings, so­cial me­dia man­age­ment, rep­u­ta­tion man­age­ment, po­lit­i­cal con­sult­ing, web­site de­vel­op­ment and main­te­nance, Praan In­dus­tries Pvt Ltd com­menced full-fledged op­er­a­tions from April 2018. The com­pany has been as­so­ci­ated with re­puted firms across the globe, in­clud­ing Shell, Vedanta and IBM. “Our com­pany has also been re­cently recog­nised by De­part­ment of In­dus­trial Pol­icy and Pro­mo­tion, Gov­ern­ment of In­dia, as a startup which looks to pro­mote in­no­va­tion and cre­ate em­ploy­ment in In­dia,” says Ar­pan Sri­vas­tava, co-founder and CEO of the firm, who also man­ages most of the op­er­a­tions. “We started with an ini­tial in­vest­ment of less than `1 lakh. The com­pany has al­ready com­pleted a turnover of `78 lakh in the last three quar­ters and is rac­ing to­wards a turnover of `1 crore in its first year of op­er­a­tion with 12 ded­i­cated em­ploy­ees. We also run a small me­dia web­site named Satyav­i­jayi.com, which re­ceives nearly 40,000 page views ev­ery­day. It at­tempts to pro­vide peo­ple with in­for­ma­tion that some­times re­mains un­cov­ered by lead­ing me­dia or­gan­i­sa­tions and also fo­cuses on fact-check­ing vi­ral so­cial me­dia news. We re­cently also worked with one of the big­gest po­lit­i­cal par­ties in the coun­try for con­tent strat­egy and dig­i­tal mar­ket­ing op­er­a­tions for state elec­tions.” The other founder, Swati Iyer has eight years’ ex­pe­ri­ence of work­ing with fi­nan­cial or­gan­i­sa­tions across the globe, while Prakash R is the chief op­er­a­tions of­fi­cer of the firm.
