For celebs, happy days are ‘hair’ again!
With barber shops and parlours reopening after three months of lockdown, celebs are thronging their regular salons to get all prim and proper. While actors Nimrat Kaur and Neha Sharma took to Instagram to share their salon experiences, Arjun Kapoor too, sought help of a professional for a haircut.
Actor Kubbra Sait went for a grooming session recently, while actors Disha
Patani and Pragya Jaiswal opted for haircuts. “Coming out of almost 100 days #Lockdown got me trying new Hair Length, Color AND Parting,” Jaiswal wrote on Instagram.
However, a salon visit now comes with some strict precautions to be followed by both clients and staff, including usage of face masks, gloves and PPE kits.
And Kaur was delighted to witness these measures being implemented in an eco-friendly manner. She wrote, “Thanks for all the remarkable and diligent measures and care you guys are taking…!! And MOST of all for using recyclable, biodegradable stuff.”
Hairstylist Jawed Habib, who has a chain of salons, feels strict measures are important for safety of both clients and salon staff. He adds, “Even customers have to follow procedures. There are key measures that salons have to follow — sanitisation of tools, furniture and floor.”
However, working with PPE kits is quite a challenge for professionals. “It gets very uncomfortable plus it restricts movement of the hands... But safety is first,” says Gayatri, who works at a salon in Mumbai.
