People take you for granted as you are a nice person: Delnaaz Irani

- Kavita Awaasthi

In the last two years, Delnaaz Irani has done a lot of introspection and tried to utilise time most effectively. The actor, who turns 49 today, has kept working through the pandemic. She says, “I wasn’t quite active on social media but soon I realised that there are people from Tier-ii and TIER-III cities who love me, my videos, and brands that want to collaborate. I did a cameo in a TV show, shot for a film, an anthology and another OTT show.”

Irani is also looking forward to her birthday and is “expecting a surprise” from boyfriend Percy Karkaria. “I love birthdays and ever since Percy has come into my life, I know that each birthday will be a dhamaka,” says the excited actor.

Known for TV sitcoms Yes Boss, Akbar Birbal among others, Irani, who has been acting for 22 years now, shares it’s important to be happy. “When I look back at the ups and downs, I feel what is important in life is be happy and have a smile on your face. I think, people take you for granted because you are a nice person. But with Percy, who keeps me strong, I have become a stronger and wiser person,” she adds.
