Without Indian music, I may not have become Jauz

I have a ton of music ready for next year. In fact, I am writing new songs almost every day.

He may have never visited India, but American DJ and EDM music producer Sam Vogel, popularly known by his stage name Jauz, is hugely inspired by the country and its music. Talking about his love for the same, the musician who recently released his Block Party EP, says, “Before I found dubstep and started producing electronic music, I worked at a restaurant in San Francisco (USA), which would host weddings on the weekends. Most of them happened to be Indian, where a DJ would play Bollywood-influenced dance numbers for hours. Watching a whole wedding party going crazy on songs, always put a smile on my face. So, I feel without Indian music, I may not have become Jauz.”

The musician who has dominated the EDM scene with his popular album The Wise & The Wicked, hopes to visit India soon. “I have been looking forward to it and hope I get to come soon. I am also open to collaborating with

Bollywood musicians and be part of some projects,” he says.

Jauz is also looking forward to having an eventful time next year. “I have a ton of music ready to go for 2023, with a song releasing right in the beginning. In fact, I am writing new songs pretty much every day. My first tours for the next year have also been announced for New Zealand and

Australia,” he ends.
