JODHPUR: A local court extended the police custody of all the three Indian Mujahideen arrested in Jodhpur till April 13.

The police sought extension of the IM operatives custody and the court ordered their remand till April 13 next, a police official said. Jodhpur police and ATS arrested Barkat on March 25 when he returned back home to collect some cash and clothes.

The court had remanded Adil to judicial custody and sent the trio to police custody for eight days on April 2 last. After expiry of police custody, the three IM operative were produced before the court on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a team of Delhi police have arrived in Jodhpur for interrogation of these IM operatives. JODHPUR: In another jolt to selfstyled godman Asaram, lodged in the Jodhpur Central Jail in connection with the sexual assault of a minor girl, the Rajasthan high court (HC) on Wednesday disallowed godman’s plea claiming the complainant is not a minor.

Asaram had challenged the verdict of district and sessions judge (Jodhpur rural) in this regard while filing a revision petition before the HC, but justice Vijay Vishnoi upheld the lower court’s decision. The HC further rejected three other revision petitions filed by Asaram and his aides against the district court orders denying them video clipping of the FIR registration at Delhi’s Kamla Market police station, copies of two more prosecution witnesses and call details of the victim’s parents.

Justice Vishnoi, while pronouncing the verdict on Wednesday observed that the date of birth mentioned in Class 10 certificate of the girl student is sufficient to ascertain her age.

Meanwhile, the district court has kept its decision pending over the third bail application moved by Asaram on Wednesday after oppostion from the victim’s counsel.
