Application for SC, ST and OBC scholarship to be made paperless
JAIPUR: The process of filing applications for the scholarship programme for scheduled castes, scheduled tribe (SC/ST) and other backward classes (OBCs) will be made paperless from the next academic session.
This was announced by social justice and empowerment department director Ambrish Kumar at the daylong workshop on scholarship schemes, held at Birla Auditorium on Sunday.
Kumar said the entire document submission for the scholarship programme is being simplified and made transparent.

draft or cheque, but now it will be done through a bank, he added.
The scholarship distribution system will also be linked with Bhamashah Yojna and Aadhar, he said.
Kumar said from now on responsibility of the scholarship payment will be that of education institute. “A new portal for scholarships is being prepared, which will work on digital signature; and for this every college has to purchase a digital signature system,” he added.
Kumar said it is being ensured that pending scholarships of 2009-10 are disposed of by June 30, 2015, and for the same a special campaign is being run.
The workshop was attended by district level officers, heads of government and recognised private institutes, scholarship incharge, information assistants and computer operators.
