Fog triggers road accidents, derails train movements
JAIPUR: Winter is yet to set in, but dense fog cover in many parts of the state has already triggered visibility issues and road accidents.
According to the meteorological department, Sriganganagar, Alwar, Churu, Vanasthali, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur and Dholpur witnessed fog on Friday, while Jaipur, Bikaner and Kota was covered in mist.
Maximum temperature remained at 28-30 degrees Celcius in most of the cities of Rajasthan as minimum temperature hovered around 10-16 degrees Celcius respectively.
According to North Western Railway (NWR), many trains have been affected due to fog. Fifteen trains were running late, while three trains were cancelled.
NWR chief public relations officer Tarun Jain said the Allahabad-Jaipur Express was cancelled on December 1 due to fog because of which JaipurAllahabad train was cancelled on Friday due to shortage of rakes. Alwar-Khairthal and Khairthal-Alwar trains were cancelled on Friday due to delay in link rakes because of fog.
