3 DEATHS IN A DAY IN JAIPUR: 2 ACCIDENTAL, ONE SUICIDE
Two accidental deaths and one suicide were reported in Jaipur on Monday, police said.
The body of a man was discovered near Panipech area of the city early on Monday; there were injuries on the face and other parts of the body.
“After reaching the place, we identified the deceased as Kishan Rana; he lived nearby and went to defecate near the area where he was found dead,” said Mahaveer Singh, station house officer, Shastri Nagar police station.
Two large trees, lying near the spot, were presumably knocked down by strong winds, the police said.
“Preliminary investigation suggests that the trees, which were quite large, fell over Rana, resulting in his death,” said Singh.
“We have also recovered a packet of marijuana from his belongings and are suspecting that he was an addict. Further investigation is on in the case.”
The second body was found in Harmara around 4am and has been identified as that of Rajkumar Meena (35), a tractor trolley owner.
“We found blocks of wood that was being carried in the trolley scattered near the body. Preliminary investigation suggests that the wooden blocks fell on him when Meena was unloading them,” said Lakhan Singh, station house officer, Harmara police station.
The third instance is that of a suicide of a man, identified as Nathu Singh, in Karni Vihar area.
“The 36-year-old Singh was last seen alive on Saturday morning. After not hearing from him for an entire day, neighbours informed the police; after breaking the door of his house, we found Singh hanging from a ceiling fan,” said an official from the Karni Vihar police station.
The police said preliminary investigation suggested it’s a case of suicide and further probe was on in the case. HTC
