THREE MEMBERS OF A FAMILY INCLUDING TWO WOMEN WERE FOUND DEAD IN THE INCIDENT. COPS SAID THE ACCUSED HAD KILLED THEM IN A PLANNED WAY ON JUNE 4

police claim to have solved the mystery behind the triple murder at Bariyada village in Barmer district last week.

Three members of a family including two women were killed in the incident.

According to the police, relatives killed the three over a minor land dispute.

On June 6, locals found the bodies of Naga Ram (60) and his wife, Bhuri Devi (56), hanging upside down from the entrance of their house.

Later, police found the third body – that of Naga Ram’s mother Mirgo Devi (80) – inside the house.

The police now claim that the murders actually took place on June 4 midnight and they got information after 36 hours.

Earlier, the police had said that the murders had taken place around 11am on June 6.

The incident had gone unnoticed because the victims stayed in a relatively isolated area.

Barmer superintendent of police Gagandeep Singla said that during the investigation the police arrested two people — Veerma Ram and Gomad Ram.

According to Singla, the two accused were related to Nagaram and had a land dispute with him.

On June 2, the duo had a fight with Nagaram’s wife Bhuri Devi while working in their field, which is adjoining Nagaram’s field. They then decided to teach Bhuri Devi a lesson, claimed the police.

Singla said that on June 4 the accused came up with a plan and murdered the three at their residence.

According to the police, the accused were brutally beaten up to death. After committing the crime the accused fled from the spot. Both the accused have confessed to their crime, said the officer.
