MUMBAI MAN STALKS WOMAN, WINKS AT HER, GETS THRASHED
A 30-year-old man was thrashed at Kalyan railway station on Monday for allegedly stalking a woman and winking at her. One of the commuters shot a video on his mobile, which has gone viral.
The alleged accused, Surendra Lalbahadur Gautam,30, hails from Uttar Pradesh, but has been living in Pisavli in Kalyan for the past few years.
The woman is a homemaker. “When the woman was checking the indicator, the accused started staring at her. He even winked at her. She ignored him, but he followed her after which she confronted him,” said a police officer from Kalyan government Railway police (GRP). Seeing the ruckus, other commuters joined in and thrashed the accused. He was later handed over to the police.
The officer said, “We have registered a case against the accused. We have seen the video. The accused is in custody and under investigation.” showed, cut a track for maintenance despite not obtaining clearance. The track eventually split as the train arrived.
On Wednesday afternoon, rail minister Prabhu tweeted: “I am extremely pained by the unfortunate accidents, injuries to passengers and loss of precious lives. It has caused me deep anguish... I met the Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi taking full moral responsibility.”

Prabhu said he had tried to overcome “decades of neglect through systemic reforms in all areas leading to unprecedented investment and milestones”.
He said in less than three years as minister, “I have devoted my blood and sweat for the betterment of the Railways”.
Meanwhile, in Auraiya, the injured passengers are being treated at RIMS in Saifai, Civil Hospital, Auraiya, Etawah district hospital and LLR Hospital in Kanpur. The railway gave ₹15,000 each to the injured.
Railway officials said train traffic on Delhi-Howrah route had been badly affected as 12 trains were cancelled.
ADG (law and order) Anand Kumar said an inquiry would be ordered to know how the dumper overturned on the tracks. region in Jammu and Kashmir already have such categorisation in state government jobs.

He is accused of siphoning of Rs 1.65 crore given to cow shelters. Verma has, however, blamed cow commission, saying it failed to release pending funds for procuring fodder fo the animals. Verma has also accused Patel of demanding money to release funds.
“The allegations against me are baseless. Since he is guilty therefore he is misguiding the media. For me the cow is ‘mata’ (mother) and I can never do such a thing,” he added.
Since coming to power in the state, the Raman Singh government has pushed an aggressive bovine protection agenda which, opposition parties say, is emboldening self-styled vigilante groups to target people they accuse of cow slaughter or beef consumption.
Raman Singh had recently even said anyone found guilty of cow slaughter will be hanged.
Chhattisgarh and Gujarat are the only states which have enacted laws making cow slaughter punishable by life imprisonment.
