“The project is the brainchild of Rabindra Bharati University that is located in the same campus. The tourism department is providing funds and technical support. Tagore’s ancestral house is a major tourist attraction and the show will add to the appeal,” tourism minister Gautam Deb said.
The shows will start this winter and will be held round the year, except during monsoons. They will comprise 3D life-like images composed of light and laser beams. Tagore’s own voice will be used in the narration that will be done by actor Soumitra Chatterjee and elocutionist Bratati Bandyopadhyay.
