Rajasthan minister’s sons booked for kidnap, assault
: Two sons of a Rajasthan minister of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party have been booked for allegedly abducting and beating up a man in Alwar on Wednesday, a day after some people allegedly made abusive remarks about the minister within their earshot.
Surendra and Hitesh, sons of minister Hem Singh Bhadana, and their accomplices were booked for kidnapping and assault, police said.
Surendra was an accused in an eve-teasing case in 2014 but was acquitted during the course of police investigation.
The victim, Tej Singh Yadav, was taken to Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital but shifted to a private hospital as doctors at the government hospital were on strike.
In his complaint, he said the Bhadana brothers along with about a dozen other people barged into his room and attacked him with a sword. They pointed a gun to his chest and took him in an SUV to their house in Veer Savarkar Nagar where they thrashed him, he claimed.
Bhadana, MLA of Alwar’s Thanagazi constituency and in-charge of the state motor garage, general administration and estates in the Rajasthan government, was not reachable for comments immediately.
In a video, the victim’s father Satish Yadav is heard saying that some persons had used bad language against the minister a day before, and his son was in the same crowd.
