Digital curfew continues on Day 2 of police exam

: The second day of the Rajasthan Constable Exam, too, was conducted peacefully across the state. The police department ensured strict enforcement of the dress code. Candidates had to take off their shoes outside the exam centres, and those wearing full sleeve shirts and ornaments had to face repercussions.
On Friday, an order from the police headquarters had said that those taking the police constable examinations on Saturday and Sunday will not be allowed to go to the toilet once inside the examination hall. The order also added that the candidates will have to take the exam barefoot, leaving their footwear outside the examination hall. Candidates had also been barred from wearing anything except a half-sleeve shirt/ kurta/ blouse/ suit/ saree, trousers and flip-flops. Women had been told to use only ordinary rubber bands to tie their hair and not wear any jewellery. Rings and amulets have also been barred in the examination halls.
“I had to remove my full sleeve T-shirt at the examination centre at Subodh Public School. I requested the policemen to let me enter as it would be embarrassing to write the exam in a vest, but they didn’t allow,” Umesh

Another female candidate Sakshi, whose centre was at Yash Vidya Mandir School a Hawa Sadak, said, “I was not aware of the dos and don’ts, as a result, I had to remove my anklet and bracelet at the entrance point. I also had to borrow a new pen form another aspirant as I was carrying a non-transparent ball pen.”
As many as 664 exam centres, including 209 in Jaipur district, have been set up for the exam. The exam is being held for 13,143 posts.
RUSH AT SINDHI CAMP BUS STAND
A huge rush was also witnessed at the Sindhi Camp Bus Stand.
The Rajasthan State Roadways Transportation Corporation (RSRTC) and private buses and trains were completely packed. The journey for those travelling in reserved coach was also uncomfortable as most of the compartments were completely packed. Candidates were seen travelling on the top of trains and buses.
DIGITAL ECONOMY HIT BY DIGITAL CURFEW
Digital transactions worth crores of rupees were disrupted as internet services remained disrupted from 8 am to 5 pm in Rajasthan. On Saturday, too, the suspension of the internet had inconvenienced people.
Thousands of people in the city were angry over the curfew imposed on mobile internet services.
Cab aggregators such as Uber and Ola, and mobile food delivery apps experienced a huge drop in business.
Weekend movie plans were also halted as people were not able to book tickets online.
Congress state chief Sachin Pilot on Saturday had slammed the state government for suspending mobile internet services for a police constable recruitment exam and claimed that the failure to conduct the examination in a proper manner resulted in the move.
“The BJP government was not able to conduct the exam in a proper manner and to identify those who facilitate cheating in the exam and so the decision to suspend Internet services was taken,” he said.
The security measures were taken to prevent any possibility of cheating.
WOMAN ON WAY TO EXAM KILLED
A woman was killed and two others were injured when their car rammed into a truck in Ajmer district on Sunday. The victims were on way to Ajmer from Jaipur when the accident took place in the Gandhi Nagar police station area. The deceased, Durga (25), was to appear in the recruitment exam in Ajmer, police said. The injured were admitted to a hospital, the police said.
