Specialist­s meet in Jaipur to discuss cancer screening

Two-day Indo Global Summit on Oncopathol­ogy started on Monday at a city hotel. This is State’s first internatio­nal conference on Oncopathol­ogy Organized by Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Center. In this two day summit, 200 cancer specialist­s from all over the world will be discussing the latest practices and challenges of cancer screening. On first day, a live workshop was organized with hands-on training under the direction of Dr. David J. Dabbs, American surgical pathologis­t specialist and Dr. Geeta Shree Mukherjee, Tata Memorial Hospital, Kolkata. During workshop, the doctors were informed about how to examine cancer in various organs, including breast, stomach intestine, mouth, skin, lungs with existing set of investigat­ions

Jaipur city general secretary Naresh Sharma said that Shukla addressed the meeting and prior to this, offered condolence­s on the death of Anant Kumar, former cabinet minister at the centre. Shukla discussed in detail about the election preparatio­ns and said BJP will repeat its results of 2013 in the state. The BJP government has carried its public welfare schemes to the person sitting at the tail end. Making this as the base, BJP is contesting this elections, he said. He also discussed on the action plan that on getting maximum votes by 10am in the party’s favour on December 7.
