Four killed, 11 hurt in three road accidents

Four people were killed and 11 injured in three road accidents in the state on Tuesday, police said.

Four people were killed and one was seriously injured after a truck rammed into a vehicle carrying passengers, near the Dental College in Kotputli on DelhiJaipu­r National Highway (NH-8).

“A team of police, along with ambulances, rushed to the spot after the incident. Driver of the pick-up died on the spot and three others succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital,” said Ranjeet Singh, the station house officer (SHO) of Kotputli police sation.

The bodies have been kept in a mortuary and efforts were being made to identify the victims, he added.

A case of rash and negligent driving was registered against the truck driver, the police said.

In another incident, two persons got injured after the car they were travelling in fell into a gorge from Nahargarh Fort hills on Tuesday morning.

“The two injured were rushed to a hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The car was completely damaged after the incident. The victims are the residents of Delhi and came to visit the Nahargarh Fort.,” said a police official.

The victims have been identified as Vaibhav and Dhananjay, residents of Delhi. The incident happened on one of the turns on the Nahargarh Road.

In another mishap, seven children and a driver got injured after a government bus hit a school van on on Sikar highway (NH-53) on Tuesday evening.

“The children did not sustain serious injuries. Two kids have been discharged from the hospital and the rest will be discharged within a few hours,” said Rajendra Singh Charan, the SHO of Harmara police station.

The bus has been seized, Charan said.
