Govt in T-20 mode to do more work before LS polls: Minister
KOTA: Transport minister and incharge f or Kota district, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas on Sunday said the state government is in “T-20 mode” to complete the development projects in Rajasthan before Lok Sabha elections.
“Newly formed Congress government is in T-20 mode with focus on more work in less time to clinch all 25 Lok Sabha seats of Rajasthan,” said Khachariyawas during a party meeting at the District Congress Committee office in Kota to review preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
Khachariyawas warned the state farmers not to fall “prey to BJP rumours” on farm loan waiver, as the Congress government has already issued orders for the farm loan waiver of “all farmers in the state”. “There should not be any apprehension regarding farm loan waiver, as government is committed to farm loan waiver worth Rs 18,000 in the state,” he added.
“Former BJP government announced farm loan waiver of just Rs 8,000 crores, of which it managed to waive off only Rs 2,000 crores, while the rest farm loans will be waived by Congress government now,” he said. “We want to fill ‘potholes’ created by former government so that people can repose their faith on us,” he added.
“If any farmer has issues with farm loan waiver, he should go to the inter-departmental committee of the state government on farm loans waiver,” he advised.
He said the Congress has given slogan of changing Rajasthan and now its ministers, MLA and party office-bearers would ensure it. “We will formulate time-bound programme in the state, in which the officials will have to redress the public grievances in time limit, so that people can see development and relief,” he added.
On the issue of Rajasthan roadways, Khachariyawas said that former government tried to close the roadways on which the state people have trust, but the Congress government will not close the roadways. He also criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government on economic and farm distress, Rafale deal and other issues.
On the suggestion of Congress MLA from Sangod, Bharat Singh that officials, who remain posted both in Congress and BJP governments, should be given transfer posting out of Kota district so that people can sense change in the government, Khachariyavas said i f any official i s f ound involved in corruption, then action would be taken against him.
